• Probate and Estate Planning

    • We do the following types of probate and estate planning work:

Probate of a Decedent's Estate: Probate of an estate occurs after a person dies and is the process of submitting the deceased person's will to the probate court and distributing their assets in accordance with the will.

Will and Trust Preparation: A will is a legal document in which a person directs the distribution of his or her assets upon death. Depending on what assets you have, a combination of wills, trusts, and other measures may be the best way to ensure a smooth transition of assets from one generation to another.

Power of Attorney Preparation: A power of attorney gives another person the authority to pay your bills and manage your daily affairs if you become sick, disabled, or otherwise incapacitated. In Ohio, there is a general power of attorney for business purposes and a special power of attorney for health care purposes. The power of attorney for health care gives another person the power to consent on your behalf to medical treatment if you become unable to do so.

Advance Directive (Living Will) Preparation: Ohio law allows any competent adult to instruct his or her physician in writing to withhold or withdraw artificial life-sustaining support in the event of a terminal condition.

    • Our attorneys can assist you in preparing an estate plan that meets your needs. We offer a special "Wills Package" which includes a will, both types of power of attorneys, and a living will all at an affordable price. Contact us for more details.
