    • Thomas M. Spetnagel Sr. is a native of Ross County, Ohio and a graduate of Bishop Flaget High School. Mr. Spetnagel holds a B.S. from The Ohio State University, a Master’s Degree from Emory University, and a J.D. Degree from The University of Cincinnati. He has also done graduate work at Ohio University.

      Mr. Spetnagel has practiced law since 1975 with an emphasis on Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury/Death litigation, Medical Malpractice, and Criminal Defense. He is licensed to practice law in all courts of the state of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the 6th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Spetnagel is a past trustee of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, a member of the Ohio State and Ross County Bar Associations, and a Life Fellow of the Ohio Bar Foundation. He has obtained, either as counsel or co-counsel, multiple settlements for clients in excess of one million dollars.

      In addition to his private practice, Mr. Spetnagel has served on numerous local boards, including the Ross County Children’s Services board, the Ross County MR-DD board, and the Chillicothe Civil Service Commission, as well as serving as an instructor at Ohio University, Chillicothe branch.

    • Paige McMahon

    • Paige McMahon is a native of Ross County, Ohio and a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He attended The Ohio State University and obtained a B.S. degree in Economics. He continued his legal education at The Ohio State University College of Law and was awarded his J.D. Degree in 1988. Since that time, Mr. McMahon has continuously practiced law with an emphasis on Personal Injury/Death litigation, Probate and Estate Planning, and Criminal Defense. He has represented clients in cases before numerous trial and appellate courts, as well as the Ohio Supreme Court. Mr. McMahon is further licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

      In addition to his private practice, Mr. McMahon has served as the Chairman of the Chillicothe Civil Service Commission since 1995. In that capacity, he administers and enforces laws pertaining to the hiring, promoting, and disciplining of municipal employees.


    • Tom Spetnagel Jr., the newest addition to our firm, is a native of Ross County, Ohio and a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was recently married to Breanne on August 4, 2007. Tom graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University in June of 2004 and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Capital University Law School in May of 2007. He was admitted to practice law in November of 2007. Tom is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.

      Like the senior partners at Spetnagel & McMahon, Tom intends to practice in the areas of Personal Injury/Death, Medical Malpractice, and Probate and Estate Planning. Tom also is the only member of our office who currently handles cases in the area of Family Law.
